Leaderboards now run on our own platform
Player stats for all three communities moved into the backend we build in-house, history included.
On 21 October we switched the leaderboards for Tide Rust, Polar Rust and RustGaming.net over to our own backend. Every live server now reports kills, playtime and wipe stats straight to the platform that already handles our bans, staff tools and websites.
What changed for players
Leaderboards now live on each community’s own website instead of a separate app. Your existing stats came with you: we imported the full history before switching over, and the old leaderboard addresses redirect to the new pages.
Why we did it
Running leaderboards as a separate app meant a second database and a second set of things to keep alive. With everything in one place we can build features that cross communities, and fix problems faster when something breaks.
